No Competition is one of the songs in Davido’s much anticipated album released just 10 days ago. The song features Nigeria’s much loved Yoruba lyrical star, Asake.
10 days in, and the song is the most popular (so far) out of all 17 songs on the album with 1.3 million views.
What is the meaning in the song?
No doubt when you listen to the lyrics, you cannot help but believe Davido is singing about is one true love, Chioma whom he recently married following the sad death of their son and only child, Ifeanyi.
Looking at Chioma’s images, many would agree she is everything Davido is singing, “shey na yansh o”, “shey na face o”, while Asake stretches it further from a sexy-loving point of view.
