He may be a Canadian-based singer but everything from his looks, style and songs draws Nigeria into it.
In fact his latest song seem, Ease-Up, explains the frustrations of living in Nigeria and pretty much just easing up and finding a way out. Suppose that’s how he found his way to Canada.
His Upbringing
Nonso was born 1st September 1995 in Nigeria, number three out of seven children to upmarket Nigerian Parents.
The 28 year old went to private Chrisland College for his primary and secondary schools in Lagos, graduating in 2009. He studied at private university, Covenant University in Ogun State until 2014 before he moved to Swansea University in Wales, UK to complete his degree.
Nonso moved to Canada to study for his masters in McMaster’s University.
His music
Right from his days at Covenant, Nonso began involving himself in music. He thought himself how to write and produce music, drawing writing inspiration from personal experiences.
He released his first extended play (EP), Alone in 2015, collaborating with big Nigerian artists such as Mr. Eazi and Simi further down the line.
By 2019, Nonso hung up his music boots albeit temporarily before returning full time in 2022 with single Foreigner.
