Mohbad died 12th September 2023 and gained unimaginable fans, many of whom had not known him while he was alive. He became popular due to the sad times he past through and loved thanks to many of his deep meaning songs which reflected the suffering, including this one – peace.

Peace’s YouTube views skyrocketed to 20million from 13 million in the space of a month, and has become a treasured track.

What is the song “Peace” all about?

Mohbad is singing from his personal life experiences. He says he has been through a lot but despite it, he is a survivor, a strong being who is after money. As a result, he prefers to pretend that he is deaf and dumb to bad news and vibes, turning to his bible, especially psalm verses, to make it through life.

In his quest to stay strong and chase money, he hopes his friends and wife will stick with him until he becomes successful.

The song is written in English, Nigeria’s pidgin English and Yoruba. Listen to the song on YouTube here.
